With summer coming to a close there is still time to get in that last family vacation before the kids go back to school.  A week long stay or mini weekend vacation might be just what the family needs to relax, unwind and reset before the onslaught of “normal life” again.

There are many beautiful places in Ontario to rent cottages for the summer months, but since there is a vast number of good cottage country rentals, narrowing down where you want your cabin or cottage located might be a hard choice. If you have ever talked to those who have had cottages, or have rented cottages prior, often times you will hear that such and such is a wonderful place, but you’ll end up hearing that about many different places from many different people. So choosing where you want to go is a crucial step in planning your cottage vacation.

Today we will focus on three particular locations that are popular destinations in Ontario for cottage rentals.

The Muskokas

The Muskokas has over 2,000 lakes and thousands of kilometers of shoreline to banter on, with cafes, shops and small eateries to retire at after a long day on the water.  It has been named the number one summer destination to travel to in Ontario because of its lush natural beauty. The two main attractions here to see are the annual music festival and the ferry tours that travel throughout the lakes.
