My husband and I spent 15 days aboard a brand new “Scenic Tours Ship” Day Jewels of Europe River Cruise 2014 (Budapest to Amsterdam) Each day was filled with a choice of amazing activities, the variety of onshore excursions that suited everyone’s tastes from biking, hiking, shopping & cultural activities. The nights were filled with fantastic food, complete with live music.
This was a wonderful worry-free all inclusive holiday. The best part was the smaller size ship with it’s friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. We felt like everyone on board was a friend. We would definitely say this was our best cruise ever.
This 15 Day Adventure took us to the following places!
Start off in Budapest, which is a fascinating city, where you can discover the highlights of both Buda and Pest during a guided city tour; or relax in the Thermal Baths and Spa; or (3) explore the labyrinths of the Cave Hospital; or (4) take an excursion to the Skanzen Open Air Museum.
Then we were off to Vienna for 3 days. To get acquainted with this beautiful city, we enjoyed an Included tour of the famous sights including the Ringstrasse. Guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace; excursion to the Slovakian capital of Bratislava; or some of the tourists visited the world renowned Spanish Riding School for a guided tour or witness the famous Lipizzaner Stallions perfecting their skills during their morning exercise program.
Other days included trips to Linz – Passau, Regensburg, Nuremberg, Bamberg, Würzburg, Miltenberg – European Village Life, Rüdesheim – Rhine Gorge, Marksburg – Cologne, and Amsterdam
